Located near the Dordogne River, this property spans 20 hectares in the heart of Libourne, distinguishing itself as an urban vineyard. Its terroir, composed of sand and pebbles with low clay content, hosts vines averaging 45 years old. Merlot predominates at 83%, accompanied by Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).

Since its acquisition in 2008 by Baron Frère and Bernard Arnault, the team at Château Cheval Blanc has lavished the vineyard with the utmost care, initiating a transition to organic farming across the entire estate. The wine aging process takes place in new barrels, half of which are renewed annually.
