Château Rieussec is located in the prestigious Sauternes appellation, in the south of the Bordeaux region. This castle steeped in history belonged to the Carmelite monks of Langon in the 18th century and was then sold as “national property” after the Revolution. Ranked Premier Grand Cru de Sauternes in the 1855 classification, Château Rieussec was acquired by the Rothschild family in 1984. The vineyard covers 93 hectares at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, making it one of the most important areas of the appellation.

Intense nose and beautiful aromatic complexity with slightly minty notes. The mouth is balanced with a freshness of the wine underlined by a nice acidity. Notes of dried figs accompanied by this flavor of dried apricot. A very good Sauternes which retains good acidity so that it can be enjoyed at any time during the meal.
