Located on the basis of very old vines in the far north of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Domaine was taken over in 1993 by the Wallut family. The 8h40 vineyard has been certified organic and biodynamic since 1998 by Ecocert and Biodyvin.
A sensitivity and a work philosophy that allows the estate to enhance the 3 distinct terroirs of the vineyard with the typical rolled pebbles of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the clay soils and the sandy soils. A complexity of terroir that brings great depth and elegance to the wine.
In 2009, 4 hectares of Côtes du Rhône located at the northern limit of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation were bought. This one-piece plot rests on deep soils of red clay and rolled pebbles. This allowed the estate to expand its range with the Cuvée La Griffe.
WINE
From a single plot on deep soils of red clay and rolled pebbles at the north of Châteauneuf. Four major southern Rhône grape varieties are planted on this plot: 60% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah. Crunchy fruits in the mouth, tension and a lot of pleasure.
