THE ESTATE

Guillaume and Aude Lavollée have taken over the reins of the family estate, covering 22 hectares located in Meursault. Domaine Génot Boulanger stretches from the Côte Chalonnaise to the Côte de Nuits, encompassing appellations like Chambolle Musigny and Clos Vougeot, as well as the Côte de Beaune with its exceptional white wines from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. In 2018, they completed a significant effort to elevate the quality and, most importantly, the precision of the wines, obtaining organic certification. It’s a domain where the precision and refinement of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shine through in every cuvée.

All cuvées have been certified organic since the 2018 vintage.

THE WINE

This cuvée comes from a unique plot located in the plain of Pommard, known as Les Noeuds. This 1.17-hectare plot was planted with Pinot Noir in the 1960s and is situated on deep clay soils with a limestone vein running through it. This unique terroir allows it to express both crisp fruit and a silky, enveloping structure.

Coming from an old vineyard, this Burgundy Pinot Noir cuvée is entirely atypical compared to its appellation. This wine offers a beautiful aromatic palette of black fruits. It has character and depth, with a lot to tell throughout its tasting.
