Guillaume and Aude Lavollée have taken over the reins of the family estate, covering 22 hectares located in Meursault. Domaine Génot Boulanger stretches from the Côte Chalonnaise to the Côte de Nuits, encompassing appellations like Chambolle Musigny and Clos Vougeot, as well as the Côte de Beaune with its exceptional white wines from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. In 2018, they completed a significant effort to elevate the quality and, most importantly, the precision of the wines, obtaining organic certification. It’s a domain where the precision and refinement of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shine through in every cuvée.
All cuvées have been certified organic since the 2018 vintage.

THE WINE
Historically planted with Pinot Noir and later with Chardonnay, this plot holds a special place in the domaine’s history as it was the sole appellation of Meursault for many years. Situated to the north on the bordering hillside of Volnay, this 1.42-hectare domain plot faces south-southeast. The soil is deep and somewhat clayey, with a significant presence of bedrock in the lower layers.
The aromas are reminiscent of white fruits, but they arrive from the south: vineyard peaches and white peaches, with a subtle, skillful oak influence that enhances them. The nose promises deliciousness. The palate follows suit, being both sensual and relaxed, with a combination of concentration and ease. The wine is round, but not overly so. Its fruit presence asserts itself in the cheeks before gently extending. This Meursault is free from any harshness, exuding charm throughout.
