THE WINE

Located about ten kilometres from Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the very first wine-producing villages on the Côte de Nuits. In 1847, Gevrey was the first village in the Côte d’Or to add the name of one of its grands crus to the village name: Gevrey-en-Montagne then became Gevrey-Chambertin.

Soil : reddish-brown, shallow and stony. The vines benefit from marl covered with scree and red silt from the plateau.

Grape variety : Pinot Noir
