Château Monbousquet 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The purchase of Château Monbousquet by Gérard Perse in 1993 was a tremendous opportunity for renewal for this terroir with a long history located south of Saint-Emilion. The cru, which had hitherto been part of the standards of the great wines of Saint-Emilion, became in a few years, under the leadership of its new owner, one of the flagship products of the appellation, of which Robert Parker will say: “Each Monbousquet produced under the leadership of Gérard Perse is exceptional. At present this cru is probably the Saint-Emilion if not the Bordeaux, the most exotic and the most sensual”.
