Guillaume and Aude Lavollée have taken over the reins of the family estate, covering 22 hectares located in Meursault. Domaine Génot Boulanger stretches from the Côte Chalonnaise to the Côte de Nuits, encompassing appellations like Chambolle Musigny and Clos Vougeot, as well as the Côte de Beaune with its exceptional white wines from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. In 2018, they completed a significant effort to elevate the quality and, most importantly, the precision of the wines, obtaining organic certification. It’s a domain where the precision and refinement of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shine through in every cuvée.
All cuvées have been certified organic since the 2018 vintage.

THE WINE
This plot takes its name from the trail that borders it and used to circumnavigate the village of Meursault. The vineyard benefits from an east-facing exposure and is situated on the western slope above the village. Planted in 1957, this 0.53-hectare Chardonnay plot is located in the “Vireuils Dessous.” The soil, composed of white marls, also contains a high proportion of limestone, which is characteristic of Meursault and perfectly suited for expressing the Chardonnay grape.
The aroma is more discreet and delicate than that of other Meursault vineyards, but it is also purer and more characterized by limestone. It offers a delicate and precise olfactory experience, with hints of citrus and mineral notes. The palate embodies the essence of Meursault: it has a semi-fat texture with a well-defined acidity, making the wine lively and leaving the palate fresh and invigorated. It pairs perfectly with delicate fish or salted shellfish, making it an ideal complement.
