Domaine Jeantet Laurent “La croix de l’Ermite” 2016

This cuvée, produced at less than 4000 bottles, comes from two terraces: one of rolled pebbles from the ice ages (riss, würm) mixed with red clay and limestone and the other pebbly (mindel glaciation) covered with white kaolin sands,
then a slope with granitic substrates covered with loess. The vines (in integrated culture) of Roussanne (50%) and Marsanne (50%) are complementary.

The grapes are meticulously harvested, then gently pressed so that the juices can be vinified and finely aged in barrels in order to bring out the qualitative capacities of Crozes-Ermitage (Northern Côtes-du-Rhône).
