Pliny the Elder wrote a philosophical summary of which 22 chapters are devoted to vines and wine. Citing the Rhône grape varieties, he voluntarily forgot Viognier because he loved it so much that he did not want to spread his knowledge. This was the “Secret of Pliny”.
This cuvée, produced in less than 1000 bottles, comes from a selection of micro-plots (in integrated cultivation) composed of granites and metamorphic rocks. The grapes are picked by successive sorting to capture all the diversity of flavors of Viognier (100%). The vinification and aging in barrels have been carried out with the greatest sensitivity so that all the nuances of Condrieu are released.
