Domaine Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, the cradle of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The family House is run by Marcel and his wife Bernadette, both supported since 1993 by their son Philippe, oenologist for the house and his wife Eve.
Historically recognized for northern crus with the trio of Côte-Rôtie La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque as well as the Condrieu appellation, the House has expanded in the south to Saint-Joseph, Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du- Pape with the acquisition of Château de Nalys in 2017. The house covers 75 hectares in the Northern Rhône Valley and 77 hectares in the South.
Regarding the trio of “La-La-La”, icons for wine lovers are Côte-Rôtie from great terroirs and cut for laying down. La Mouline bought in 1966 is a brand name, just like La Turque while La Landonne is a cadastral name.

WINE
Côte-Rôtie “La Mouline” is one of the most emblematic wines of Domaine GUIGAL. Only a few bottles come each year from this vine located in the heart of the Côte Blonde. On the palate, a voluptuous and silky texture, intensely aromatic.
