THE PROPERTY

The Guinaudeau family has been cultivating vineyards at Grand Village since the 17th century, and it is likely that there were white vineyards at Grand Village from an early stage. Convinced of the value of certain limestone soils, Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau decided to replant a few parcels of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon in the early 1990s. In the 2000s, Julie and Baptiste further improved the vineyard by adopting the same viticultural practices as Lafleur. In parallel, they planted new parcels with vines sourced from Sancerre to achieve greater aromatic complexity.

THE WINE

With an aging on fine lees, Château Grand Village Blanc has undergone a transformation in recent years. It used to be enjoyed in its youth for its fruitiness. Today, it has become a unique and exceptional white wine that reveals its strong yet refined personality.

The vineyard is planted on 1.8 hectares of clay-limestone soils. The wine is vinified in barrels on fine lees, with 50% new barrels and 50% of the wine aged for 9 months.
