THE PROPERTY

Rémi LEROY is a family estate of nearly 9 hectares located in Meurville in the Côte des Bar. The clay-limestone soils come from the Upper Jurassic. The majority of these soils are on hillsides on low thicknesses of land in general. The plateau overlooking the village of Portlandien offers even poorer soils. On such supports where the vine must naturally suffer to ensure its growth, the viticulture practiced makes it possible to obtain fruits and juices of a remarkable typicity.

WINE

Made up of 3 grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier), always with a dominant Pinot Noir, this cuvée is marked with the seal of wealth (ripe Pinot Noir, aging on lees with batonnage, reserve wines). The low yields, the reasonable additions of organic matter to the soil as well as the perfect maturity that is sought give the clusters of Pinot Noir and Meunier a higher concentration of anthocyanins (coloring molecules of the grape) than normal. Its amber color is therefore completely natural.
