THE ESTATE

Guillaume and Aude Lavollée have taken over the reins of the family estate, covering 22 hectares located in Meursault. Domaine Génot Boulanger stretches from the Côte Chalonnaise to the Côte de Nuits, encompassing appellations like Chambolle Musigny and Clos Vougeot, as well as the Côte de Beaune with its exceptional white wines from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. In 2018, they completed a significant effort to elevate the quality and, most importantly, the precision of the wines, obtaining organic certification. It’s a domain where the precision and refinement of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shine through in every cuvée.

All cuvées have been certified organic since the 2018 vintage.

THE WINE

The Chambolle-Musigny cuvée is an assembly of the “Les Nazoires” and “Les Mombies” vineyard sites. With a total area of 0.76 hectares, these two plots are located below the village, at the base of the hill. They rest on soil composed of limestone rock, as well as pebbles, gravel, and scree from the village’s combes.

The dominant aromas are of red fruits, with notes of strawberry, redcurrant, and cranberry. Noble and airy, the nose immediately evokes the unique class of this appellation. The palate exhibits grace and finesse. The wine is fresh, barely full-bodied with fine tannins. The fruit flavors return on the retro-olfaction, and one appreciates its complexity and elegant movement; this wine is a graceful dancer.
