Clos Puy Arnaud : An other way to see Bordeaux wines

Thierry Valette is a true artist and raised his Cotes de Castillon vineyard amongst the top wines of Bordeaux in less than 20 years. Emblematic character of the Bordeaux Biodynamic wave, his wines leave no one indifferent ( 4 stars out of 5 by Bettane & Desseauve French wines critics and 2 stars out of 3 by the French magazine La Revue du Vin de France).

“Thierry Valette always had a true passion for wine. His grand father was the owner of the famous Chateau Pavie and Troplong Mondot, two of the most prestigious Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classé. Thierry took over the 13 hectares property of Clos Puy Arnaud in 2000 located 10 kilometers east of Saint-Emilion and decided to convert it to biodynamic agriculture. The limestone soil (Asteries) makes this property unique, bringing elegance, minerals and freshness into the grapes. The floral, spicy and truffle notes can easily show the same characteristics as some of the most famous terroirs of this area. As history recalls, in the fourteenth Century, Clos Puy Arnaud was part of the classified Saint-Emilion wines! It is one of the most interesting property of the Bordeaux region.
